Presentation Instructions for the “Young Investigators Forum”

BASIC SCIENCE AND CLINICAL RESEARCH STUDIES Presentation

Session Date: Friday November 18, 2022

Session Time

o   Basic Science studies: 12:00-1:00 pm

o   Clinical Research studies: 2:05-3:05 pm

Presentation time: 10 minutes, followed by 3-minute Q&A.

Using Power Point format, presentations must include a slide disclosing any conflict of interest.

We strongly suggest not to exceed a total of 15 slides to allow enough time for discussion.

We suggest including the following:

1.     Title, Authors, Affiliations

2.     Background

3.     Aims

4.     Methods

a.     Study design, population, and setting

b.     Intervention or exposure (if applicable)

c.     Outcomes definitions

d.     Experimental and/or analytical methods

5.     Most relevant Results

6.     Discussion & Conclusions

CASE REPORT Presentations

Session Date: Friday November 18, 2022

Session Time: 2:05-3:05 pm

Presentation time: 5 minutes, followed by 3-minute Q&A.

Using Power Point format, presentations must include a slide disclosing any conflict of interest. The Case report should not include any information that may identify the patient. Presentations that do not address the confidentiality of the patient will not be allowed to participate.

We strongly suggest not to exceed a total of 8 slides to allow enough time for discussion.

We suggest including the following:

1.     Title, Authors, Affiliations

2.     Patient description

3.     Case history

4.     Physical examination results

5.     Results of pathological tests and other investigations

6.     Treatment

7.     Outcome of the treatment

8.     Conclusions
